My name is Yoshe, and I’m a communications professional working on the unceded lands of the Gadigal people. My pronouns are she/they. I currently work full time in the for-purpose human services sector, where I help uplift the voices of those within my organisation and the broader community through impactful digital resources.
Originally from regional NSW, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Media Communications and spent a decade in the private sector before chronic health conditions prompted me to reevaluate both my personal and professional priorities. That turning point led me to my current role and reignited my passion for speaking from the heart on issues that matter.

Outside of work, I enjoy classic cinema, science fiction/fantasy novels, skincare goodies, and discovering new places to eat.
I’m also the proud owner of a rescue cat who brings endless joy to my life.
What I write about
I identify as a person living with disability and in this space, I am primarily interested in writing about my experience with the following conditions:
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- ME/CFS
- Migraine
- Cluster headache
- Mental health (OCD, anxiety, depression)
I am also keen to cover topics related to the above conditions, including (but not limited to):
- Chronic pain
- Fatigue
- Mobility aid usage
- Living with immunosuppression
I like to write about broader issues at the intersection of disability and lived experience as well, such as queer identity and disability, poverty and disability, pet ownership and disability, the financial burden of chronic conditions, regional and remote access to medical care in Australia, medical trauma, medical misogyny, misdiagnosis, and workplace inclusion.
As an avid consumer of popular culture, I’m always keen to explore how disability and chronic illness are represented in media. I welcome opportunities to discuss the conditions I live with, as well as broader topics in disability advocacy, through the lens of pop culture.
